Maintenance Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to support first shift operations. This individual will be responsible for repairing and maintaining a variety of machinery and mechanical equipment including pumps, motors, pneumatic tools, production machines, and general building/facility systems. The role includes preventative maintenance and emergency response and requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision while troubleshooting both standard and complex equipment.

Responsibilities:
Perform repairs, replacements, adjustments, inspections, and preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment and systems.
Maintain and repair pumps, cranes, hoists, hydraulic systems, vacuum pumps, and perform basic vehicle maintenance.
Dismantle machinery to identify and replace defective components, and inspect parts for wear or defects.
Adjust and align functional components and instruments for optimal performance.
Operate and maintain conventional power tools and metalworking machinery including lathes, drill presses, and grinders.
Perform welding using arc, gas, TIG/MIG methods.
Lubricate, clean, and paint equipment as part of routine maintenance.
Run electrical conduit and repair electrical equipment as needed.
Operate forklifts, aerial boom lifts, scissor lifts, and small vehicles.
Install and assist in the setup of new equipment.
Layout maintenance tasks and prepare bills of material.
Train and assist new employees and trainees.
Lead projects and serve on project-related committees when assigned.
Properly handle and manage hazardous waste generated in the work area.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Working hours: 5:00 AM - 3:00 AM (Various Shifts Available)

Skills:
Relevant military and/or commercial maintenance experience is a plus.
Advanced mechanical and facilities maintenance knowledge.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, safety procedures, blueprints, and specifications.
Capable of diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues on complex machinery and equipment.
Proficient with basic math operations and mechanical measurements.
Ability to work independently and follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions.
Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools for communication and research.
Must supply personal basic standard tools relevant to the trade.
Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Bachelor?s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Business preferred.
Minimum of 5?7 years of progressive maintenance experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
