Public Space Attendant - Custodian PM Shift

**Summary:**
Under the direct supervision of the Housekeeping Supervisor, this position ensures clean, orderly, and attractive conditions within the public spaces of Brasstown Valley Resort.

**Responsibilities:**
- Ensure all necessary materials are on the cart before leaving the main linen room.
- Tour lobby and conference center looking for areas that require immediate cleaning.
- Report damage immediately to Housekeeping Manager/Supervisor and follow Engineering reporting procedures.
- Keep all resort entrances free of debris and garbage.
- Clean windows and glass doors.
- Clean floors including vacuuming & shampooing carpets, sweeping, dusting, mopping, or wet mopping floors.
- Empty trash receptacles.
- Dust and polish lobby and conference center furniture, fixtures, and surfaces (low/high dusting).
- Thoroughly clean restrooms, including washing sinks, toilets, urinals, exposed pipes, and doors.
- Clean men/women locker rooms - toilets, sinks, and mop floors.
- Restock all supplies.
- Perform Room Attendant duties when needed.
- Follow all Lost & Found procedures with guest items left behind.
- Check under furniture and furniture cushions for debris and remove.

**Education and/or Experience:**
High school diploma or equivalent; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to perform basic mathematical functions using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

**Reasoning Ability:**
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions provided in various formats.

**Physical Demands:**
The employee is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
