Housekeeper

We are looking for a Housekeeper to join our team! This position provides a clean, safe and pleasant environment for residents, staff and visitors. Cleans public areas of the building as assigned.

This environmental services schedule includes;

• 60 hours every two weeks
• Day shift
• One weekend a month

Meadows on Fairview Senior Living, is Ebenezer’s 51 Unit Assisted Living Building, located in Wyoming, MN near Highway 35, County Roads 8, and 61. Conveniently across the street from Fairview Lakes Hospital and Dialysis center offering a full continuum of care for our residents. Job Responsibilities:

• Cleans resident and common areas of the community as assigned
  • Performs thorough cleaning of all assigned areas, including vacuums carpets, sweeps and mops hard floor surfaces, dusts, and/or damp wipes surfaces, sanitizes bathrooms, cleans all glass windows/mirrors
  • Prioritizes tasks and completes within allotted time
  • Assists in cleaning emergency spills as needed
  • Assumes other responsibilities as assigned
  • Follows cleaning schedule and instructions regarding specifications of resident's individulized housekeeping needs
• Performs job duties safely, using correct body mechanics and personal protective equipment
  • Safely mixes chemicals according to instructions provided by the manufacturer
  • Consistently follows safe body mechanics
  • Demonstrates precautionary work practices for the safety of others in the work areas, such as electric cords, wet floors signs, etc
  • Completes all OSHA training modules in a timely manner
• Maintains cleaning equipment and supplies
  • Maintains housekeeping cart and storage area on daily basis
  • Safeguards others' well-being by keeping chemicals and other hazardous materials locked when not in active use
  • Communicates supplies that need to be re-stocked
  • Communicates need for equipment repairs
  • Adheres to all Lockout/Tagout requirements per policy
• Assists with light maintenance tasks as needed
• Participates actively in team meetings, reports on current state in the Community, providing feedback on housekeeping related items as they arise
• Performs other duties as assigned and directed

Required:

• 0-1 years of experience
• Ability to utilize software programs in order to complete work functions

Preferred:

• High School Diploma/GED
• 1-3 years of experience
• Experience utilizing software programs suchs as Educare or TELS in order to complete necessary job functions
