Banquet Server – The Lempicka, by Jeff Ruby Location: The Lempicka, by Jeff Ruby. 700 Walnut St. Cincinnati, OH 45202 Reports to: General Manager Position Description: The Banquet Server is responsible for providing excellent service to guests during banquet events at our event venue. The successful candidate will work closely with the Banquet Captain and other staff members to ensure that all aspects of the event are properly coordinated and executed, and that guests receive the highest level of service possible. Responsibilities:
- Set up banquet room as instructed by Banquet Captain to include linen, silverware, and glassware.
- Attend pre-shift meetings before events to learn function particulars, including guest expectations.
- Greet guests and respond to requests in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Serve the food and/or beverage in the correct order and to the expectation of the Banquet Captain to ensure consistency throughout the banquet. Promptly bus dishes as guests complete each course and/or meal at the end of the meal or function.
- Replenish beverages as necessary, and check with guests for overall satisfaction.
- Once banquet is complete, reset banquet room according to Captain's specifications to ensure the readiness of the room for the following function.
- Perform all assigned side-work to include replenishing condiments and restocking banquet shelves with supplies.
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain the confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
- Perform general cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products, as assigned to adhere to health standards.
- Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one year of experience in banquet service
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent guest service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
- Attention to detail
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
- Knowledge of food and beverage service, including proper service etiquette and wine service
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations
- Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period.
