Job DetailsScofflaw is a gin-focused cocktail bar that has been a fixture in Logan Square since 2012. We serve a chef inspired menu that has honest and creative food.
Position Summary: The dishwasher oversees washing and cleaning service ware (flatware, plate ware, glassware) and kitchen equipment (pots, pans, and other miscellaneous equip.) They work with a sense of urgency and have a courteous working attitude. They will maintain a clean and organized work area in line with the Scofflaw standard.
Shifts: Shifts at Scofflaw are EVENINGS ONLY . We are open from 5PM to 1AM or 2AM, and are looking for someone who can work these late night hours. Please look up our address (3201 West Armitage) and make sure you are able to get to and from this location.
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Operate and utilize the dish machine and cleaning supplies with a sense of urgency to prevent any backup
- Wash, sanitize and air dry all kitchen utensils, equipment and other items placed in the dish area
- Safely and effectively use and operate all necessary tools and equipment with proper training
- Return and restock all items to appropriate area after washing and sanitizing procedures are completed
- Maintain dishwashing machinery and communicate any potential issues
- Ability to effectively communicate to perform and follow job requirements
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Ability to be flexible with job demands and open minded when being asked to complete tasks
- Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run the restaurant
- Ability to move or handle equipment throughout the restaurant generally weighing 0-50 pounds
- Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates
- Ability to stand for up to 8-10 hours a day.
Compensation: Hourly ($17.00)
