In This Role, You Will:

• Prepare and cook a variety of foods - including meats, vegetables, soups, and baked goods - in accordance with dietary guidelines and UMH standards.

• Plate meals accurately and according to patient diet orders and menu plans.

• Follow proper food handling practices, including labeling, dating, and safe storage.

• Maintain kitchen cleanliness through scheduled cleaning duties and dishwashing tasks.

• Keep up-to-date logs and follow food safety regulations, including HACCP standards.

• Collaborate with the Clinical Dietitian and kitchen staff to ensure timely, accurate meal service.

• Support special catering events and assist with inventory and deliveries.

What We're Looking For:

• A dedicated team player with a passion for food service and a high school diploma or GED (preferred).

• Previous experience in healthcare or institutional food prep is a plus.

• Current Food Handler's Certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire).

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

• Organized and efficient with basic computer knowledge.

• Strong communication skills in English (additional languages a plus).
