Summary of Job Duties:

Serves beverages to patrons on the casino floor and at the tables games areas by performing the following duties.

Specific and Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

Takes beverage order and relays it to Bartender

Notifies Bartender when beverage is a comp or charge item

Collects order from Bartender, adds appropriate garnish, places on tray, and serves to patrons with cocktail napkins

Computes bill and accepts payment as needed

Up-sells liquor

Collects money for drinks served

Comps players drinks in accordance with house rules

Suggestive sells specialty and house cocktails, beers and wines

Thorough knowledge of liquor types

Thorough knowledge of in-house liquor, beer and wine selection

Requests identification from customers when legal age is questioned

Removes empty or dirty glasses and bottles and returns them to the bar or kitchen

Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of beverages on menu, liquor brands, beer, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages

Excellent customer service skills as well as interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts

Able to lead and mentor a team

Minimum Requirements:

Must be 21 years of age or older

Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent

Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays

Preferred:

Six (6) months experience as a cocktail and/or food server in a similar environment

Experience working in a similar resort setting

License Requirement:

Health Card | Food Handler Card

Alcohol Awareness Card

Machinery or Work Equipment Used:

POS register, telephone, beverage machine
