Maintenance Engineer Job Description As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for providing daily maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of resort facilities. You will handle grounds maintenance, including spring and fall cleanup, light landscaping, tree maintenance, and roadway maintenance. The role requires operating or the willingness to be trained to operate equipment such as a backhoe, front-end loader, wood chipper, septic vacuum, and air compressor. Excellent customer service is paramount as you will communicate with staff and guests to resolve maintenance issues. During the winter, responsibilities include snowplowing, snow blowing, shoveling, and sanding roadways. Responsibilities Provide daily maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of resort facilities. Work Environment The work environment includes a Monday-Friday shift from 7 am to 3:30 pm, with flexibility during the busy season. You will work a minimum of 48 hours, 6 days per week from April 1 to November 30, and a minimum of 40 hours, 5 days per week from November 30 to April 1. Pay ranges from $30-$40 per hour, with potential to reach $50 per hour for the right experience. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lake George, New York. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
