Start Date Open Date 06/16/2025 Closing Date 06/25/2025 Anticipated Employment Date: ASAP Anticipated Work Location/Hours: Jack Burns Transportation Center 9:00am to 5:00pm Salary: $26.66/hr per SRP Contract Duties: + Performs diagnostics, repair, and maintenance of school buses, trucks, plows, other vehicles, and mechanical equipment for a suburban school district. + May drive vehicles when required. + Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor for Transportation. + Must provide own tools. Minimum Qualifications: + Graduation from a high school, trade school or college and two (2) years' experience in automotive repair work + OR six (6) years' experience in automotive repair + OR an equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the above. + Possession of or ability to obtain a valid Class "A" or "B" NYS Commercial Driver's License with passenger school bus air brakes endorsement within 6 months + Strong working knowledge of and ability to follow all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and reporting methods of the NYS Department of Transportation regarding school bus maintenance, inspection, and operation procedures.
