Maintenance Mechanic

Maintenance Mechanic - Night Shift (6PM-6AM, 2-2-3 Schedule) Pay: $22-$28/hr Location: St. Joseph, MO Now hiring Maintenance Mechanics at multiple experience levels (1-4) for night shift roles. This is a hands-on opportunity to work with a team focused on maximizing plant efficiency, safety, and equipment performance in a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities (All Levels) Troubleshoot, repair, and optimize all plant equipment Follow preventative maintenance programs to reduce downtime Read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and technical documents Support production changeovers and process improvements Maintain equipment through proper cleaning and servicing Record and report maintenance data accurately Collaborate with production, QA, and maintenance teams (Levels 3-4) Assist in training, installations, and process documentation Experience by Level Level 1: 1-3 years Level 2: 4-6 years Level 3: 7-10 years Level 4: 11+ years + leadership/training/project support Requirements (All Levels) Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in tight/confined spaces Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment Manual dexterity, strong attention to detail, and solid problem-solving skills High school diploma or equivalent required Skills by Level Level 1: Basic troubleshooting; PLC knowledge is a plus Level 2: Intermediate troubleshooting; basic PLC skills Level 3: Advanced PLC skills; strong troubleshooting in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems Level 4: Expert-level diagnostics and repair; technical degree and certifications preferred; training and procedure development experience Ready to grow your maintenance career on a reliable night shift schedule?
