    Hours:
    6 hours/day, M-F student contact days during the school year at Fridley High School

    Salary: per the master working agreement $18.70- $22.03/hour Depending on previous food service experience

    Job Summary:
    Child Nutrition Professionals who take pride in serving all customers freshly made nutritious meals. Team members work together to prepare and serve daily menu options to students and staff. Looking for a positive attitude, attention to detail, willingness to learn new skills, team orientated, and enjoys working with students. This position will prepare daily cold or hot entrees depending on daily production requirements, operate the point of sale system during meal service, serve customers, complete daily cleaning tasks including washing dishes and operating the dish machine, and support daily production needs. This position requires a positive attitude, attention to detail, and ability to work with team members. Position requires team members to adhere to Minnesota Deaprtment of Education, Minneosta Food Code, USDA procedures, and Fridley Public Schools policies.

    Responsibilities:
    1. Assists in the preparation and service of quality meals for our customers.
    2. Prepares daily cold or hot entrees depending on daily production needs..
    3. Assists in the daily set up and clean up of all kitchen equipment and meal serving lines including washing dishes.
    4. Serves or operates Point of Sale System during meal service.
    5. Supports the Assistant Cook Manager to ensure that all entree items are prepared for the day.
    6. Operates the kitchen equipment including convection ovens, Combi Ovens, tilt skillet and other commercial food service equipment.

    Qualifications:
    1. HS diploma or equivalent.
    2. Minimum of 1 year food production experience preferably in school or child care setting.
    3. Ability to take direction of supervisor.
    4. Ability to work cohesively with peers, supervisors, school personnel and students.
    5. Ability to demonstrate customer service skills on an ongoing basis.
    6. Preferred MN Food Manager Certification or ServSafe certification. Must be Serv Safe certified within 1 year of employment
