Manages the flow of freshly prepared food as it is expedited from the kitchen to the guests table. You are the checkpoint between the kitchen and the guest. You assist the serves on marking tables and keeping courses moving on tickets. You ensure food is consistent looking out of the kitchen and you can catch any mistakes the kitchen or the floor may have done. Since you are the last one to look at a dish before presenting to a guest your role is vital to overall service and quality control of our food.
Duties and responsibilities
Deliver food to tables in a professional and timely manner.
Check food for accuracy.
Manage tickets on the pass as orders come in and new courses are fired.
Maintain clear communication with the kitchen expediter to make sure dishes are expedited in an efficient and timely manner.
Help maintain marking on the floor with servers.
Qualifications
Have at least two years of experience at a restaurant of similar caliber.
Know what it means to have a sense of urgency.
Have a keen sense of table timing.
Understand fire times and the flow of food through the kitchen.
Be able to communicate succinctly and efficiently with a professional kitchen.
Must have a courteous demeanor and positive attitude
Strong team player and ability to delegate when necessary.
Must have Food Handlers Card certification
Must have a Sexual Harassment Certificate Card
