Bus Driver
FLSA STATUS:
Non-Exempt
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma
Commercial Driver's License with P&S endorsement
CPR Certification
Must pass annual physical, alcohol and drug test and safety training
Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card

REPORTS TO:
Transportation Director
JOB GOAL:
To provide safe and efficient transportation so that the students may enjoy the fullest possbile advantage from the district's curriculum and extracurricular program.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Obeys all traffic laws
Observes all mandatory safety regulations for school buses
Maintains discipline when students are on bus by advising passengers of appropriate
behavior and reinforces established guidelines for passenger safety
Reports discipline problems to the proper authority
Keeps the bus clean
Keeps to assigned schedule
Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections
Discharges students only at authorized stops
Reports all accidents and completes required report
Prepares other reports as required
Fuels assigned vehicle

REPORTS TO:
Facilities Director
JOB GOAL:
To keep the District's buildings in a state of operating excellence so that they present no
interruptions to the educational programs.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Keeps building and premises, including sidewalks, driveways and play areas, neat and
clean at all times
- Regulates heat and air conditioning system to ensure economical usage of fuel, water,
and electricity
Sweeps classrooms daily and dusts furniture
Cleans corridors after school each day and during the day when their condition requires
Scrubs and disinfects toilet and bathroom floors daily and cleans all sanitary fixtures and
drinking fountains
Washes all windows on the inside and outside at least semi-annually
Keeps all floors in a clean and attractive condition and in a good state of preservation
Makes minor repairs to the buildings
Reports major repairs and damages to the proper authority
Assumes responsibility for the opening and closing of the building each school day
Keeps an inventory of supplies, equipment and fuel on-hand and requisitions such needed
replacements from the principal or District administrator far enough in advance so that
they may be delivered in such time as will not hinder the custodian's work
- Moves furniture or equipment within buildings as required for various activities and as
directed by the principal
- Complies with local law and procedures for the storage and disposal of chemicals and
waste
Promptly responds to requests as assigned through the District's work order system
Performs other job-related duties as assigned

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Twelve-month employee. Salary and work year to be established by the Governing Board.
