PART TIME CUSTODIAN/VACUUM

Title: Part Time Custodian/Vacuum

Location: John Hydock Elementary School

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid New Jersey driver's license
• At least three years' experience as a custodian preferred
• Knowledge of plant operations and maintenance, cleaning methods and procedures
• Ability to lift or move items up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work on ladders
• Dependable and reliable

Reports to: Facilities Manager

Job Description:

• Vacuuming classrooms and performs general custodial duties, keeping building clean, safe and secure
• Other responsibilities as assigned

Terms of Employment:

• 10 month position; Mansfield Education Association contract applies
• Contracted as of 9/1/2025; Position begins 9/3/2025

Hours: School Year Hours: 3 evening hours per day

Rate of Pay: $20.22 per hour as per Board of Education current MTEA Agreement:

Full time employees are eligible to participate in the following: medical, prescription and dental plans, NJ State administered Retirement System and in the Defined Contribution Retirement Program, tuition reimbursement, possible stipends, sick and personal days and paid time off.
