Bookstore Clerk / Barista

LOCATION **Tupelo Campus **QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED** High school graduate, two years of job-related experience and knowledge of textbooks and retail store operation. ##### **QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED** A.A. or A.A.S. degree and ServSafe Certification. ##### **JOB DESCRIPTION** - Work closely with the Bookstore manager to carry out the day-to-day functions of a retail store and coffee shop.- Follow all procedures and policies.- Earn and maintain ServSafe Certification.- Perform all duties related to the coffee shop, including opening and closing, assist in daily duties and must be able to make decisions without constant supervision- Charge books and supplies to faculty and staff.- Sell books and supplies.- Demonstrate knowledge of all coffee shop offerings and be able to execute in a timely manner.- Must be able to work with faculty, staff and students.- A knowledge of retail operations mandatory, and the clerk must be able to make appropriate decisions without constant supervision.- Assist in inventory of bookstore during last week of June each year.- Arrange displays throughout the store (gifts, supplies and clothing).- Be able to open and close bookstore and coffee shop and assist in daily and weekly deep cleanings.- Demonstrate knowledge of all bookstore and coffee shop offerings and be able to execute in a timely manner.- Perform other duties as may be assigned by the appropriate authority.
