The Server is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to guests, ensuring a positive dining experience, and accurately processing orders. This role requires a friendly and professional demeanor, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
**Responsibilities:**
- **Guest Service:**
- - Greet guests warmly and provide prompt, courteous service.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
- Answer questions about menu items and make recommendations.
- Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests.
- Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience.
- Handle guest complaints and resolve issues professionally.
- **Order Processing:**
- - Enter orders into the POS system accurately.
- Relay orders to the kitchen and bar staff.
- Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages.
- Process payments and handle cash transactions accurately.
- **Restaurant Operations:**
- - Set up and clear tables efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with opening and closing duties.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Restock supplies as needed.
- Work as a team with other front-of-house and back-of-house staff.
- **Knowledge and Skills:**
- - Maintain a thorough knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
- Stay updated on daily specials and promotions.
- Understand and comply with all alcohol service regulations.
- Demonstrate knowledge of proper table service techniques.
- **Teamwork:**
- - Communicate effectively with other staff.
- Assist coworkers when needed.
