Position Summary: The Budd Group is seeking a dedicated and reliable General Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment for students, staff, and visitors during the afternoon shift. The General Cleaner will be responsible for performing a variety of custodial duties to ensure the school premises are well-maintained and presentable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and buffing floors in classrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas.

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, ensuring fixtures are clean, supplies are replenished (toilet paper, soap, paper towels), and trash is emptied.

• Dust and wipe down surfaces, including desks, tables, chairs, windowsills, ledges, and other furniture.

• Empty trash receptacles and recycling bins, and replace liners.

• Clean glass surfaces, mirrors, and interior windows.

• Spot clean walls, doors, and other surfaces as needed to remove scuff marks and spills.

• Ensure proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment, adhering to all safety protocols and MSDS guidelines.

• Report any maintenance issues, hazards, or repair needs to the supervisor promptly.

• Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, notifying supervisors when reordering is necessary.

• Assist with setting up and breaking down for school events, as directed.

• Follow all school policies and procedures related to cleanliness, hygiene, and safety.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager or school administration.

Physical Demands: The position requires the ability to perform physical tasks common to cleaning, including but not limited to standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting/moving up to 35 pounds or more regularly.
