We are looking for a dedicated Cook who is passionate about preparing meals with care and creating a positive dining experience for seniors
The Cook is responsible for preparing and serving meals according to planned menus, following dietary and nutritional guidelines, and ensuring a clean, safe kitchen environment. This role is vital in promoting our residents' quality of life through nourishing and enjoyable meals. Be part of a team that nourishes lives every day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals in accordance with dietary restrictions, resident preferences, and standardized recipes
- Ensure food is stored, handled, and prepared in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and food storage areas
- Assist with menu planning and recipe adjustments based on resident needs
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Collaborate with dietary staff and nursing team to meet resident nutrition goals
- Monitor food and supply inventory and notify supervisor of needed items

Minimal Education:
High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
Minimal Experience:
1. Six months food preparation experience in a hospital, institutional or restaurant preferred.
2. Experience in long term care or health care is preferred.
Other Qualifications:
1. Certification as a ServSafe Food Protection Manager preferred.
2. Ability to read and follow recipes, ability to write, add and subtract.
3. Must have good organization skills and be creative.
4. Must be able to follow oral and written instructions and accept responsibility for the accuracy and quality of work performed.
