Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to assist with the cleaning and upkeep of common areas and grounds for our residential apartment buildings. The ideal candidate takes pride in creating clean and welcoming environments for residents and visitors and works well independently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors in lobbies, hallways, stairwells, and other shared areas
Wiping down and sanitizing surfaces such as handrails, mailboxes, and entry doors
Cleaning glass entry doors and windows
Dusting and removing cobwebs in corners, ceilings, and baseboards
Regularly emptying garbage and recycling bins in common areas
Monitoring and reporting any maintenance or safety issues (e.g., burnt-out lights, spills, hazards)
Seasonal duties such as light snow removal from entryways or salt application
Restocking cleaning supplies and informing management when inventory is low
Ensuring storage and janitorial rooms are clean and organized
Qualifications:
Previous cleaning or janitorial experience an asset, but not required
Ability to work independently and efficiently
Strong attention to detail and time management
Must be physically capable of lifting, bending, and performing repetitive tasks
Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic
Must have reliable transportation
Schedule:
Monday and Thursday, 8am 4pm (day flexibility). Potential for additional hours at alternate properties.
