Utah Valley University is seeking a part-time Lead Custodian to support the UVU Dining Services team by overseeing daily custodial operations and helping ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and guests. In this role, you will train and guide student custodians in proper cleaning techniques, floor care, and safety procedures, while also helping coordinate custodial support for a variety of campus dining areas and events.

- Supervise and train custodial staff on proper cleaning techniques, safety issues and use of all custodial equipment. Enforcing rules, regulations, and policies.
- Maintain inventory and supervise the usage of supplies, chemicals, and equipment. Contributes to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds.
- Assists in hiring qualified employees by participating in the interview process and making recommendations regarding the employment of applicants. Approve electronic time sheets, assumes the duties of absence student custodians in their assigned area.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- Provides work direction to evening catering student employees. Monitor evening catering events to ensure they function smoothly in a highly professional manor.
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor's degree in a related field or a combination of education and/or experience related to the summary of duties totaling 4 years.
Licenses/Certifications
A Food Handler's Permit is required within the first 30 days of employment.Knowledge
