Schedule: Part-Time, Day Shift
**Dietary Cook**
Dining is an important part of life and at Vancrest, we strive to provide the highest possible quality dining experience while ensuring the most nutritional diet possible for each resident.
**Cook Responsibilities include:**
- Reviewing menus prior to preparation of food.

- Inspecting special diet trays to assure they are correct.

- Performing administrative requirements such as completing necessary forms, reports, etc., and submitting to the Director of Food Services.

- Coordinating dietary service with other departments as necessary.
```{=html}
```
- Working with the facility's Dietician, Dietetic Technician and other Supervisors as necessary and implementing recommended changes as required.

```
- Assuring that all dietary procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.
```{=html}
```
- Assisting in establishing food service production line, etc., to assure that meals are prepared on time.

```
- Processing diet changes and new diets as received from Nursing Services and approved by the Director of Food Service.

```
- Performing dishwashing/cleaning procedures. Assuring that utensils, etc., are readily available for next meal.

```
- Assisting in inventorying and storing in-coming food, supplies, and other duties as requested

- Cooks are supervised by the Dietary Manager
