Advanced Houston Specialty Hospital** is looking for **Environmental Services Attendants / Housekeepers** in our newly renovated facility at **205 Hollow Tree Lane, Spring, TX** .

Pay starting at **$18.00+ DOE**

The Cook plays a vital role in meal preparation, ensuring that food is prepared efficiently, safely, and in compliance with nutritional standards for patients. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to strict safety protocols, and a commitment to maintaining sanitary food service operations.

This performs a variety of general as well as moderately complex cleaning tasks in assigned specialty areas to provide a safe and attractive environment for patients and staff. This position maintains environmental and infection control standards within established policies and procedures. In addition, this position follows Operating Room standards for turnover and terminal cleaning of procedure rooms. This position works with floor maintenance equipment and chemicals, as well as handling and interaction with hazardous materials for appropriate disposal, conference room set ups and linen distribution, collection and tracking, as appropriate.

**Essential Functions:**

1. Cleans and services patient rooms, offices and common areas. Follows cleaning procedures and checks off list after completion of each room.

2. Sweeps, mops, waxes all floors using clean water, sanitized mops and accurately uses floor polishers.

3. Provides supplies (tissues, paper towels, soap, etc.) to areas as needed. Checks cleaning supplies daily before going to area.

4. Appropriately disposes of trash and medical waste from all areas of the hospital. Maintains trash cans sanitized with new liner, tie and disposes trash in compactor.

5. Moves furniture and exercises safety procedures and avoids damage to furniture or walls.

6. Cleans assigned areas using proper solutions, equipment and techniques. Uses properly labeled chemicals. Follows cleaning procedures and checks off list after completion of each room.

7. Cleans equipment after each use and stores it neatly in designated area.

8. Checks cleaning supplies each day before going to area and exercises responsibility in the use of supplies.

9. Follows cleaning procedures and checks off list after completion of each room. It is expected the incumbent will work overtime when directed to do so.

10. Regular and predictable attendance required.

It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management.

**Education and Experience Requirements:**

High school diploma or equivalent. One year full-time, wage-earning housekeeping experience, preferably in a commercial or healthcare setting. Valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.

**Post Hire Requirements:**

Must successfully complete annual in-service training requirements to include physical agility test and pass an annual background check.
