Environmental Services Technician- Housekeeper

Mount Alverna Village , a part of Franciscan Ministries, is hiring an Environmental Services Technician/Housekeeper . We are looking for a reliable, energetic and self-motivated person to assist with commercial cleaning duties within a healthcare environment while helping to provide an exceptional home-like environment for our elderly residents. The chosen candidate will be a team player yet must be able to work independently and have a great attendance record.

Full Time, Day Shift (Starting time varies between 7:30am or 8:00am)

Mount Alverna Village is a vibrant senior living community in Parma, Ohio. Mount Alverna Village is a continuing care retirement community (CCRC), offering a variety of senior lifestyle options including independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing/long-term care. Additionally, the onsite rehabilitation clinic offers inpatient and outpatient physical, occupational, and speech therapies, and state-of-the-art programs designed to enhance the quality of life for residents and patients in the local community.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Dust, Mop and Sweep floors
• Scrub floors, Buff, Polish Furniture, Clean Equipment
• Clean light fixtures, vents, registers, Vacuum and scrub carpets
• Cleans offices and general areas
• Clean Private and Public Washrooms
• Keep storage area, cart and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
• Maintains supplies at a required level as determined by the Department Director and Supervisor
• All other duties as assigned

Required skills and qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Previous housekeeping experience a plus
• Must be able to work rotating weekends and holidays as needed
• Must be reliable, energetic and self-motivated who truly enjoys working with the senior population
• Great attendance
