Customer Service Representative- St. Paul Location

  • Please note this is not a remote position and is located in downtown St. Paul at the Treasure Island Center

Pay Rate: $19.00 an hour

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Handle incoming or outbound calls providing detailed property information (including amenities, promotions, events, directions and Passport club information) and address complaints
  • Manage reservations for the property including hotel, restaurants, dinner cruises and promotional events being sure to accurately quote rates
  • Maintain the St. Paul office front desk, including opening and closing
  • Use multiple computer systems to answer all guest inquiries
  • Maintain supply inventory at the TI center, including supplies pick ups at retail locations.
  • Maintain a clean and professional work environment, including light housekeeping duties such as vacuuming and restroom upkeep.
  • Update daily tracking spreadsheets such as: VIP lists and player data
  • Coordinate monthly on-site meetings for Tribal Council and other stakeholders, including catering and logistics
  • Respond to and resolve guest feedback and concerns.

KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Required Knowledge and Certification:

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
  • 90 days experience as a Treasure Island Customer Service Representative I or equivalent experience

Required Skills:

  • Accurate and detail-oriented
  • Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and current Windows operating systems
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Must be able to read and write English
  • Ability to type at least 35 words per minute with accuracy

Required Abilities:

  • Ability to follow established dress code policies and practice good personal hygiene
  • Ability to interact with guests, coworkers and management in a professional and courteous manner
  • Ability to maintain a fast paced work environment
  • Ability to enthusiastically and professionally sell and / or up-sell amenities
  • Ability to speak in a clear, concise and pleasant voice
  • Ability to operate phone and computer systems simultaneously
  • Ability to work in a remote location with little direct supervision

REQUIRED TRAINING

  • Must complete training at Treasure Island home Call Center and then one 8-hour shift monthly must be worked at the home Call Center

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time with occasional amounts of walking and standing
  • Must have a good sense of balance, ability to bend, kneel, stoop and maintain balance as needed
  • Must be able to reach and twist occasionally
  • Must be able to push, pull and grasp objects occasionally
  • Must have the ability to independently lift up to 30 pounds occasionally
  • Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions
  • Must have good eye hand coordination

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

  • Work is performed primary at the St. Paul office location but requires travel to the Treasure Island home location which includes going onto the gaming floor with flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke
  • Extensive computer use
  • Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals
