Housekeeper/Environmental Services Tech Position - Environmental Services George C. Grape Community Hospital is seeking a Full-Time Housekeeper/Environmental Services Tech.
In this position, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors within the hospital. Your responsibilities will include performing a variety of cleaning tasks, adhering to sanitation standards, and ensuring a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
Responsibilities:
Clean and sanitize assigned areas, such as patient rooms, offices, restrooms, common areas, and other designated spaces.
Perform routine cleaning tasks, including dusting, mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming floors and surfaces.
Clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and fixtures.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in common areas, such as hallways, waiting areas, and lounges.
Additional Responsibilities include:
Vacuum and shampoo carpets, machine scrub floors, stripping and waxing floors.
In patient rooms you will be striping and making beds, washing and drying linens, putting away lines and unload linen carts.
Adhere to established cleaning protocols and safety guidelines.
Restock cleaning supplies, toiletries, and other necessary items as required.
Collaborate with fellow team members to ensure efficient and effective cleaning operations.
Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with patients, staff, and visitors.
Follow AHE standards and Hospital policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial services is preferred but not required.
Attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks; including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic computer skills for record-keeping purposes.
Hours: 10:00am-6:30pm. Rotating weekend (every 4th weekend) and holiday shifts with team members.
