LB Eatery & Wine is the newest concept from the team behind Lady Baker, a beloved bakery known for its naturally leavened breads, artisanal pastries, and elevated hospitality. Located next door to Lady Baker in The Shops at Pembroke Gardens, LB offers a full-service dining experience built around sourdough pizza, seasonal plates, and a curated selection of natural wines.
We are looking for a Sous Chef to lead our kitchen teamsomeone passionate about quality, fermentation, and hospitality, and ready to take ownership of a fast-paced, from-scratch kitchen.
Role Overview
The Sous Chef will be fully responsible for day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, consistency, and team leadership. This role is ideal for a motivated and experienced professional who thrives in a collaborative and high-standard environment.
Responsibilities
Lead all aspects of kitchen operations, including prep, service, and closing
Manage, train, and support the kitchen team with clear communication and professionalism
Ensure consistent food quality, taste, and presentation
Monitor and control inventory, food costs, and waste
Oversee scheduling and kitchen organization
Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment in accordance with health regulations
Collaborate with ownership on menu development and seasonal updates
Foster a positive team culture built on respect, accountability, and excellence
Requirements
Minimum 3 years of professional kitchen experience, including leadership responsibility
Strong cooking, prep, and plating skills in a from-scratch kitchen environment
Experience with fermentation, sourdough, or natural ingredients is a plus
ServSafe certification or equivalent preferred
Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
