Open Call - Servers & Assistant Servers

Cafe Mado is hosting an open call for Servers and Assistant Servers who are passionate about hospitality and ready to grow with us.

Redwood Hospitality is hiring full-time Servers and Assistant Servers for its newest venture, Cafe Mado a cafe and garden restaurant in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. Cafe Mado is the third project from Michelin-starred Redwood Hospitality, after Oxalis, Place des Fetes and Laurel Bakery. Cafe Mado is a daytime cafe offering seated lunch in the back dining room and garden, while the front cafe features coffee, Laurel Bakery pastries, breakfast items, and prepared foods.

Cafe Mado is looking for individuals who create genuine connections with their guests and who pride themselves on the ability to curate a memorable experience. Experience with low-intervention wine and cocktails is a plus, while attention to detail and steps of service is a must. Service will include lunch as well as early dinner service, both indoors and outdoors in our back garden.

Were hiring full-time Servers and Assistant Servers (45 shifts/week) with open availability, ready to start training immediately.

The ideal candidate possesses the following qualifications-

Server:
- 2 years Serving experience in NYC or another major city
- Knowledge of Toast POS
- Open availability and a flexible schedule
- A genuine passion for hospitality and the ability to create stellar guest experiences
- Strong work ethic and a team-player attitude
- Knowledge of low intervention wines and spirits is a plus
- Experience on the opening team of a restaurant is a plus
- Barista experience is a plus

Assistant Server:
- 1+ year experience in a restaurant or wine bar setting
- Enthusiasm for hospitality and eagerness to support the guest experience
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, service-focused environment
- Strong attention to detail and awareness of service standards
- Interest in natural wine, sustainable food, and seasonal ingredients
- Curiosity and drive to grow into a full server position
- Familiarity with Toast POS is a plus
