Please visit learn about joining Housing & Dining Services ( HDS ) as the largest department on campus with 450 full-time staff and 1,700 hourly and student staff, and nearly 8,300 students live on campus. HDS is responsible for the management, finance, administration, and program development of all University housing facilities, including residence halls, university apartments, and Mountain Campus.

We do this through implementation of our values of customer first service, commitment to students and staff, integrity, respect and teamwork, inclusiveness and diversity, innovation and stewardship.
The Mountain Campus( MTC )of Colorado State University is part of the university and is located approximately 53 miles west of the main Fort Collins campus at 9,000 ft. elevation in a remote
mountain valley adjacent to Rocky Mountain National Park. As part of HDS , the Mountain Campus exists to serve the Colorado State University and surrounding communities as a site for student learning, research and conferences. We strive to deliver outstanding residential and dining experiences crafted by an engaged team dedicated to social and environmental responsibility. The MTC operates a single dining center. Our season of operation is May to November. We employ 30-35 seasonal staff and serve 65,000+ meals each season to the nearly 6,500 students, faculty, staff, and visitors to the campus. There is limited Wi-Fi, but no cell phone service, and pets are not allowed.

Position Summary
The Foodservice Worker for Mtn Campus position actively prepares and serves food in a high-volume food service operation at the CSU Mountain Campus to assure the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer service are always achieved. During the offseason (November March), this position will report to Residential Dining Services on the Colorado State University, Fort Collins campus.
Required Job Qualifications
Six months experience in a food service or retail operation
Preferred Job Qualifications
+ One or more years of experience in a food service operation as a cook.
+ Experience in a high-volume food service operation.
+ Demonstrated ability to handle multiple activities and tasks with competing priorities
+ Demonstrated interpersonal and verbal communication skills necessary for building and maintaining successful work relationships.
+ Exemplary customer service skills.
+ Demonstrated experience providing memorable customer service interactions with customers and colleagues.
+ Food safety certification such as ServSafe.

+ Serve food according to established standards and portions. Ensure that foods that are served always meet the highest standards of quality and appearance.
+ Occasionally prepare food using skills that include, but are not limited to, baking, roasting, sauteing, frying, grilling, broiling, steaming, chopping, measuring, and mixing.
+ Understand and safely use power-operated foodservice production and cleaning equipment.
+ Meet defined food production standards guided by standardized recipes and menus.
+ Provide input on food production volume and inventory levels to ensure services are not disrupted by outages.
+ Record and verify necessary food production and service temperatures to ensure that the highest standards of food safety are met continuously.
+ Monitor and restock food and supplies to prevent service disruptions. Conduct inventory.
+ Conduct opening and closing procedures in a defined work area.
+ Indirectly supervise Temporary Hourly Employees and Student Employees within a defined work area to ensure staff are meeting defined standards of food production, quality, and safety.
