Job DetailsAs the lead reservationist at Abel Brown, you are more than a host you are the first impression, the pace-setter, and a key player in the flow of the dining room. You will lead our front-of-house experience with grace, energy, and precision, ensuring that every guest feels recognized, respected, and welcomed.
This role is essential in helping the restaurant optimize seating, enhance guest satisfaction, and support overall revenue goals. We are seeking individuals who take pride in being detail-oriented, anticipate needs before they arise, and elevate hospitality into an art form.
What Youll Be Doing
- Act as the face of Abel Brown offering a polished, warm welcome to every guest, whether in person or over the phone.
- Manage the rhythm of the dining room using OpenTable and in-the-moment judgment to ensure a smooth and strategic flow.
- Assist the management team in maximizing revenue and table turns by understanding service pace and adjusting guest flow accordingly.
- Anticipate guest needs, handle seating preferences, special requests, and to-go orders with precision and care.
- Maintain a pristine, inviting entry and foyer area, including oversight of floral arrangements.
- Serve as a communication bridge between the kitchen, bar, and service staff by staying aware of the progress of each table and updating statuses in real time.
- Contribute to the overall guest experience by embodying thoughtful, proactive service and a deep understanding of the restaurants menu, ethos, and flow.
- Take ownership of daily administrative duties such as posting outgoing mail and ensuring readiness for each service period.

- A team player who sees the big picture helping the restaurant succeed, not just filling seats.
Business hours are Monday - Thursday, 5 pm- 10 pm & Friday - Saturday, 5 pm - 11 pm.
Shifts begin at 2 PM or 3:30 PM.
Compensation: Hourly ($15.00) plus tips
