Assistant 3
The position serves as the initial contact for all students and visitors of the Perry Health Sciences Campus.
Responsibilities and Duties (*Essential Functions)
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential job functions satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the primary job functions herein described.
- Welcomes on-site visitors, determines the nature of business, and directs visitors to appropriate personnel or location while displaying courteous behavior
- Serves as on-site first point of contact and primary resource of general information for visitors and students and staff for the Health Sciences Campus
- Operates a multi-line telephone system, greets callers warmly, determines the purpose of the calls, and forward calls to appropriate personnel or department
- Utilizes multiple methods of communication to provide accurate information to visitors, students, faculty, and staff
- Answers questions about the institution, the Health Sciences Campus, and provides visitors and callers with other pertinent information
Maintains organized and clean reception area
Reports to appropriate personnel any campus problems, irregularities, hazardous situations, conditions, or concerns
Orders office supplies for the division as needed and maintains inventory of supplies
Files, copies, scans, emails, and maintains records, or information as required
Assists other staff when needed. Completes an annual applied benchmark project on an individual or group basis
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Basic to Intermediate skills with Microsoft Word and Excel
Exceptional telephone etiquette and customer relations skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively in a team environment
Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent
One year of office, clerical, or receptionist experience
