The Opportunity
Ensuring maximum Guest service and satisfaction as it relates to Banquet and Amphitheater events, through the production and service, in all its phases, of quality food and beverage, in accordance with all operational policies and procedures and gaming regulations.
What you get to do
Work from Banquet Event Order preparing and executing functions to the specifications of Guests.
Listen to, evaluate, and assure control of Guest grievances and settle them without delay.
Ensure banquet and/or event facilities are set up properly and food and beverage service meet Guests' needs.
Conducts pre-shift meetings with Banquet Team, to ensure all Associates are in proper uniform and thoroughly knowledgeable of the details contained in the Banquet Event Order.
Communicate regularly with the Event Manager notifying them of information that directly relates to or affects the department. Provide input to management concerning operational deficiencies and areas in need of attention.
Assist Event Manager in maintaining adequate staffing levels in the department, by interviewing, hiring, and scheduling, training, evaluating, counseling, suspending, and separating Associates as business needs dictate.
Accountable for the job performance of all Associates and provides feedback on it to aid the Associates in developing and enhancing skills.
Maximize cost effectiveness within the department by ensuringpliance with established budget, labor, and revenue benchmarks.
Maintain proper procedures for cash handling and variances.
Prepare Banquet Checks and maintains written records on daily re-cap form.
Comply with all food and beverage health, liquor, and safety regulations; as well as all federal, state, and local applicable laws. Ensure cleanliness of Banquet service areas, meeting room and public spaces.
Maintain an effective system of inventory control; ensures storage areas are wellanized and adequate supplies are on hand.
Maintain liquor control and ordering for the venue.
Verify all items specified in the Banquet Event Order (linens, silver, china, glass, floor plan, special instructions, menu, etc.) are available and ready to use.
Routinely inspect facilities and notifies the appropriate department of any maintenance, repair and/or safety needs; follows up to ensure matters have been appropriately handled.
Set up and execution of all off site and outdoor events.
Additional duties as assigned and necessary for changing business needs.

What qualifies you
Bartending experience - preferred but will train.

Responsible for following all relevant Detailed Gaming Regulations (DGR's).
Mille Lacs Band Member and American Indian preference will be exercised in the hiring process.
