Bell Person/Dock Porter (Afternoon/Evening Shift) - The Inn at Stonecliffe

The Inn at Stonecliffe is seeking a dynamic, service-oriented Bell Person/Dock Porter (Afternoon/Evening Shift) to join our team! This would be for our afternoon/evening shift from approximately 2 PM to 10 PM. Employee Housing is not available for this position at this time.

The Inn at Stonecliffe was built in 1904 and is located on the beautiful Mackinac Island, Michigan. For centuries, Mackinac Island has been an ideal summer vacation spot with about 1 million visitors each year and about 15,000 a day during its main tourist season.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet resort guests at the ferry docks
• Assist guests with their luggage and personal items, loading them into resort carriages
• Deliver luggage to guest rooms upon arrival to Stonecliffe
• Deliver messages, packages, and other items to guest rooms
• Help guests with their departures by collecting luggage from their rooms and stacking it on luggage carts attached to our resort carriages
• Other duties may be assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to easily communicate with guests
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
• Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions
• Must be available to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
