The Royal Palms Shuffleboard Club is on the hunt for a hard working, detail-oriented, and self-starting NIGHT PORTER/Janitor
for our Bucktown, Chicago location.
We are looking for someone who is diligent, self-motivated and proactive to oversee the cleanliness, maintenance, and overall upkeep of our facility while we are open to the public.
This role is crucial for ensuring that our bar remains a squeaky clean, extra safe, welcoming space for both our staff and our guests.
Among other things, youll be responsible for managing day-to-day cleaning operations, keeping the floor tidy by collecting glasses and debris, maintaining a spotless, well-stocked bathrooms, taking out the trash/recycling and generally ensuring the club is in tip-top condition to keep the show running smoothly night after night.
This job has a very active physical component that requires standing for long periods of time in a high-energy, loud environment and lifting up to 50 lbs.

The following experience is preferred (but not required for the right person):
-Strong understanding of sanitation and safety standards in the hospitality industry.
-Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
-The ability to work collaboratively with staff, vendors, and management.
-Ability to work independently and solve problems quickly and efficiently.
-Ability to perform minor repairs (e.g., fixing leaky faucets, replacing light fixtures).
Night and weekend availability required.
