Description
The Head Chef position oversees daily operations of our Food is Medicine employee restaurant - The Farmacy. This venue incorporates an understanding of and appreciation for seasonal farm-based, whole foods cuisine and serves our entire community. It supports our residential program at The Center for Discovery, providing medical meals and precision nutrition to our residents. Strong attention to detail is essential to this role.
This kitchen is a complex and multi-faceted environment. The right candidate must be able to create a positive atmosphere while managing staff and all responsibilities.
Relevant qualifications and verifiable experience required -
complete kitchen management
personnel management
food sanitation and safety regulations
menu planning and recipe development
food costing, ordering as per menu and budget management
front of house operations
Must have at least 5 years experience in fine dining, wellness cuisine and high volume catering. Culinary degree helpful but experience will be a strong consideration. Must be very computer proficient.
