POSITION SUMMARY
This position requires the cleaning of Show Low School facilities to
maintain the appearance, safety, and cleanliness of the buildings,
classrooms and equipment in the district. Must be a team player and
demonstrate pride in work performance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Dust mop, sweep, and wet mop all hard surface floors
- Vacuum rugs and carpets
- Scrub and clean bathrooms, fixtures, and keep supplied
- Clean walls, doors, windows, and woodwork
- Clean entryways, hallways, faculty areas
- Strips, waxes, buffs floors
- Clean, scrub down, wash special use areas such as locker rooms,
gymnasium, and cafeterias.
- Clean chalkboards and erasers
- Clean washbowls, toilets, sinks, drinking fountains, etc.
- Refill towel, soap and other supplies
- Dispose of trash
- Secure areas as required. Turn out all lights except for security
lights.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
Directly responsible to the Administrator and Lead Custodian.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
A minimum of three months experience as a custodian is desired. Must be
able to read, understand, and carry out directions related to custodial
duties. Be able to perform moderately heavy physical work, e.g. lift up
to 50 lbs. Must be able to work cooperatively with the public and other
personnel. Must be able to work with minimal supervision. Will be
required to work into evenings. Must be trustworthy, as he/she will be
working with expensive equipment and working in rooms where sensitive
information is stored.

responsibilities that may be required of employees given this title. It
