SUMMARY:

Responsible for communicating hotel room information to housekeeping and front desk staff according to established policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Answers the phone and dispatches guest requests to housekeeping staff.
  • Updates status of hotel rooms as directed by supervisors.
  • Communicates updates and changes to hotel room information between front desk and housekeeping staff.
  • Submits maintenance requests through electronic dispatch system.
  • Ensures a maximum level of guest service and satisfaction is achieved and maintained by promptly responding to and dispatching guest requests.
  • Held accountable for the accuracy and thoroughness of information transmitted between housekeeping and front desk.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or GED preferred.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Must possess excellent communication and organization skills. Must possess excellent problem solving skills. Must be proficient in typing. Must be computer literate.

This position requires a Level 4 Gaming License.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries from other employees or guests.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense reasoning to variety of situations.

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. When on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud. A casino environment is typically smoky.
