**Job Purpose**
Sets up and serves meals in acafeteria.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Puts away food and supplies that is delivered daily from central
kitchen
- May prepare cash registers for scanning meal tickets and collecting
cash. May tally and balance register after meal times, collects all
meal counts
- Prepares short order foods for daily breakfast and/or lunch
- Prepares fresh fruit and vegetable bar daily
- Serves student meals
- Cleans counters, Fresh Fruits and Vegetable bar, cleans dishes and
all equipment; as well as sweeps and mops floor.
- Secures kitchen before leaving

**Required Qualifications**
High School Diploma or equivalent.\
No previous experience.\

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions
of the Board\'s policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel.
**Technology Skills**
**Basic:**Email, Time Clock, Log in to basic software programs
**Worker Characteristics**
Deductive Reasoning-The ability to apply general rules to specific
problems to produce answers that make sense for the success and future
needs of students.
Self-Motivated-Ability to work independently for project completion.
Oral Expression-The ability to communicate information and ideas in
speaking so others will understand, in a positive manner to co-worker,
students, or public.
Problem Sensitivity-The ability to tell when something is wrong or is
likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only
recognizing that there is a problem.
**Work Environment**
**Inside**: Offices, School Buildings.
**Outside**: Outdoor Facilities.
**Indoor/Outdoor**: Travel from location to location.
**Occasional Travel**: For required training or professional development
(In district, out of district, in state, and/or out of state).
Possibly exposed to extremes of temperature. Occasionally subjected to
extreme noise, odors, mists, dust and poor ventilation.
**Physical Requirements**
The position requires frequent lifting, bending, stooping, pulling,
speaking, turning, grasping and carrying items over 40 lbs.
