Position Summary: The Restaurant Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the hotel restaurant, ensuring a high standard of service, and fostering a positive dining experience for guests. This role involves leading a team of dining staff, managing operational efficiency, and maintaining quality standards in food and service to exceed expected goals and providing exceptional service always following the brand standards to both internal and external guests.
Scheduling: This is a Full-Time position that requires open availability to work any shift. The role is scheduled primarily AM and Mid-shifts, various days that include weekdays, weekends and holidays, but requires the flexibility to work PM shifts as needed. Schedules will change weekly based on business demands.
Specifically, in your role as the Restaurant Supervisor your primary responsibilities are the following:
- Monitor food quality, presentation, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Address guest inquiries and resolve complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist in planning and executing special events or promotions.
- Ensure the smooth function of the entire dining room, exceeding guest expectations in accordance with Marriott standards.
- Conduct daily shift team meetings to provide updates and gather feedback.
- Supervise staff and stations, managing communication between the front desk, kitchen, and tables.
- Provide ongoing training and mentorship to team members ensuring exceptional guest service.
- Oversee completion of side-work, cleanliness of dining rooms/facilities, and bar service matters.
- Support the F&B management team for the overall success of the restaurant and ensure the future return of each guest.
- Assist in maintaining food and beverage costs by monitoring inventory and coordinating inventory control.
- Follow company procedures and ensure staff follow the required best practices and brand standards.

Supportive Functions : The hotel functions seven (7) days a week and twenty-four (24) hours per day. Due to the seasonal nature and business hours of a hotel, candidates must realize it may be necessary to move an employee from their accustomed shift to meet business demands. All associates are expected to perform any other duties as requested by management to support other departments and/or operational requirements.

Qualifications
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities in the English language.
- Preferred Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
- Ability to work well in a team under pressure; respond with a sense of urgency when needed and handle a fast-paced environment with professionalism.
- Proven knowledge and understanding of the concept of hospitality, restaurant food and beverage best practices, and guest service standards.
- Able to easily adapt to unexpected changes and prioritize tasks effectively during busy periods.
- Moves through-out lobby bar, restaurant and kitchen areas, including frequent and repeated climbing up and down stairs, for duration of shift.
- Capable of remaining in a standing position, either stationary or walking, for duration of shift.
- Capable of frequent and repeated lifting to 30 lbs. including trays and equipment, carrying, bending, stooping, and extending arms fully.
- Ability to observe and adhere to all Health and Safety regulations and company guidelines for food handling, cross-contamination protocols, and sanitation.
- Able to work in a busy restaurant environment, including exposure to various noise levels, alcohol, hot surfaces and large crowds.
- Able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Professional Licenses/Certifications:
- Valid Food Handler Certification and TABC Certification are required.
Experience
- Minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience in a high-volume full-service restaurant or hospitality establishment is a must.
- Proven track record of effective team leadership and guest service excellence.
- Experience in a hotel restaurant environment is a plus.
Grooming/Uniforms:
- All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance.
- Specific uniform guidelines and/or required articles of clothing will be explained to you as a part of the orientation process.
