This is a full-time housekeeping position. Experience in this field is a plus. Responsibilities include cleaning and maintaining guest rooms and common areas, restocking supplies, and ensuring an organized and sanitary environment. Safety and hygiene standards must be followed. Skills required include a basic understanding of general housekeeping, attention to detail, time management, physical stamina, reliability, communication, customer service, flexibility, and knowledge of cleaning tools/equipment and safety procedures.
The minimum age is 18. No education level is required, however, a high school diploma or equivalency is preferred. Prior housekeeping experience is preferred. Starting pay is $13/hour, depending on experience, and paychecks are issued every Friday. Overtime opportunities are available on an as needed basis. Regular shifts begin at 8:30 am, Monday through Friday. Weekend shifts being at 9:00 am.
Individuals in this position should be trustworthy, dependable, able to work independently, follow directions, respect guest spaces, remain flexible with tasks, maintain a positive attitude, and work well with others in a team environment. Must work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, be able to lift up to 50 pounds and other physical tasks, handle cleaning chemicals safely, and respect client privacy and confidentiality at all times.
Must prepare hotel rooms for next guest, including cleaning, linens, and restocking supplies. Related duties include keeping storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy; transporting linens, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies with wheeled carts; and, cleaning rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, etc. so that health standards are met.
