What We Are Looking For

Baylor University's Mayborn Museum is seeking Visitor Service Coordinator to support front-line operations and contribute to delivering a professional, positive visitor experience through operational excellence and collaboration with the rest of the Visitor Services Team.

This position requires weekend and holiday work.

An Associate's degree and one year of relevant work experience are required. A Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant work experience are preferred.

A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.

*All applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

What You Will Do

  • Contribute to a professional and welcoming atmosphere by staffing the front desk
  • Open and close registers, approve daily drawers, and maintain safe and accurate cash handling protocols
  • Provide outstanding customer service by answering visitor phone calls and emails professionally and promptly
  • Assist in check-in of groups and Lifelong Learning classes
  • Accurately download and review daily drawer reports and total revenue summaries
  • Prepare and process weekly cash and check deposits in accordance with accounting procedures
  • Update internal weekly revenue tracking documents to ensure data integrity
  • Compile and analyze quarterly reports, including Gravity Well visitor counts and third-party payments (e.g., Pogo Pass), to support financial transparency and planning
  • Generate and distribute reports for attendance, revenue, and registration upon request from other departments
  • In collaboration with Membership and Database Manager, build and maintain LLL classes and event entries in Altru, including price types, discounts, and schedule updates
  • Troubleshoot and resolve unresolved online orders to maintain a seamless customer experience
  • Collaborate with colleagues to complete cross-departmental assignments and projects
  • Uphold museum policies, procedures, and standards of excellence in all interactions
  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission
  • Ability to comply with university policies
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
