Position Summary:
Cerity Partners is seeking a dynamic and relationship-driven Business Development Officer (BDO) to drive growth through the Charles Schwab and Fidelity Custodian Referral Programs. This individual will represent Cerity Partners in local custodian branches, develop strategic relationships with financial consultants, and generate qualified leads by effectively communicating the Cerity Partners value proposition.
Primary Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary liaison between Cerity Partners and assigned Schwab/Fidelity branches.
Build and maintain strong relationships with financial consultants and branch leadership.
Communicate Cerity Partners story, service offering, and competitive differentiators in a compelling and consultative manner.
Conduct regular in-branch meetings, presentations, and lunch-and-learns to drive awareness and referrals.
Identify, track, and follow up on referral opportunities to support new client acquisition goals.
Collaborate with internal wealth management teams to ensure seamless prospect onboarding.
Maintain accurate activity and pipeline reporting in CRM systems.
Provide ongoing feedback to leadership on referral trends, program effectiveness, and branch engagement strategies.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in business, finance, marketing, or related field.
5+ years of experience in financial services, business development, or relationship management.
Proven track record of generating leads and building partnerships within custodian networks preferred.
Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple branch relationships simultaneously.
Familiarity with RIA models and high-net-worth client services is a plus.
