Job DetailsPrivate membership club situated in northern Dutchess County, NY is seeking an experienced line cook to join our team.
We are proud of our well-deserved reputation for offering our members and their guests a consistently excellent fine dining experience with quality cuisine and attentive service.
Our spacious clubhouse features a full-service bar and two well appointed dining rooms for regularly scheduled service Thursday-Sunday and occasional other days for private events.
The job duties include but are not limited to:
- Assist with prepping ingredients for food service
- Assist on the line during service in any position salad, grill, saute etc.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace in all areas, following all sanitation guidelines
- Address issues and problems as they arise in a professional and efficient manner
- Bring innovative, seasonal offering ideas to the menu
Requirements:
- Must be dependable with a positive attitude with a desire to contribute to a team
- 3+ years experience in a similar role within a fine dining establishment
- Baking experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of various cuisines, cooking techniques and food pairings preferred
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Willing to work 10-12 hour shifts
- Weekends are required
- Good knowledge of all industry standards and procedures
- Culinary Degree Preferred
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- The employee is regularly required to walk and stand during entire shift
- The employee frequently must lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- The employee frequently bends, stoops, reaches, pushes, and lifts
- The employee works primarily indoors in a hot, damp environment with some work done outside
Compensation: Salary ($55,000.00 - $70,000.00)
