The Medical Receptionist, Urgent Care provides reception and clerical services under the supervision of the practice manager and physician(s) for the patients and visitors of the practice. These services may include billing, collections, referrals, appointments, patient contact, and general secretarial duties. Must be willing to travel within 30 minutes of your home, and float to various locations.
This is a very busy Urgent Care in Forked River. You will be required to work in the appointment side and walk-in side
The Urgent Care Group has about 20 Providers, but they rotate between all offices / There are 12 team members that work in the Forked River location including MR,RT and CMA
This is a full time - 40 hour work week. Must be flexible to work any hours between Monday - Friday 9am - 7pm / Saturday & Sunday 8am - 4pm / alternating Holidays 8am - 12pm (Requires alternating weekends and Holidays 3 out of 6)
Typically - position is working primarily in assigned location (Forked River) but must be able to work if needed in all Urgent Care offices: Brick, Tom River, Jackson, and LBI (only one weekend in the summer).
*Past medical experience preferred
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.
- The ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs, a strong sense of accountability for improving the lives of our patients and their caregivers, an exceptional focus on teamwork, dedication to ongoing education, and the ability and passion to deliver the highest quality of care based on a strong sense of patient focus are all required.
- Must be able to travel to various locations.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
- Prior receptionist or clerical experience in a medical office
- Epic experience
Licenses and Certifications Preferred:
- CPR certification
