Grill Cook/Line Cook

Seeking a talented line cook to join our small kitchen (4-5 cooks). We have a hot line and a cold line, and every cook becomes proficient on both. We make delicious food and give great service. We have a kind and respectful environment, even when it's a crazy rush. We have almost no sendbacks. We're committed to keeping it that way.

This is what we are looking for:
Minimum 1 year working as a line cook on a flattop
Cook using a variety of tools and cooking methods
Multitask
Work at multiple stations as needed
Stay on top of cleanliness while busy
Work in a team and collaborate
Handle a rotating, changing menu
Follow written recipes

We are a mostly scratch kitchen, so relevant experience would be great. But we can teach if you are able to follow written recipes.

Hours will vary from 25-30 per week. This job is Thursday-Sunday, usually closing shifts (we close at 8).

If you also have scratch baking experience, then this job can be full time (35-40 hours per week).

Reliable transportation is required, as this job requires closing shifts and bus service is not available late in the day in Anacortes.

Candidates must be at least 21 years old and eligible to work in the US, no exceptions.

All employees will have double the minimum sick leave accrual and will start with 8 hours of PTO and begin accruing 1 week of PTO/year immediately upon starting work. You can eat or drink (non-alcoholic) whatever you want during your shifts. Employees discount and family discount. Dress is casual. Company provides 4 free shirts to start and seasonal shirts for Pride and some other events.

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 35 per week, depending on how you mesh with the team and your skill set
