Groundskeeper
Job Summary
The job of Groundskeeper is done for the purpose of providing grounds maintenance services at District sites; ensuring attractive and safe grounds area and athletic fields; protecting against erosion; performing a variety of special grounds maintenance operations; assisting other members of department in completion of projects; and maintaining grounds for assemblies, events and/or recreational activities.
This job reports to the Maintenance and Operations Supervisor or designee.
Requirements / Qualifications
EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE
Any combination equivalent: Graduation from high school or equivalency. One (1) year of landscaping, grounds maintenance, or related work experience.

EXAMINATION PROCEDURES
This is a promotional and open competitive recruitment. The examination may consist of a training and experience (supplemental responses) evaluation, written test or performance test and a structured oral interview.
To qualify to be placed on an eligibility list, a candidate must obtain a passing score on each test part of the examination process. Final scores will be obtained by combining the relative weights of scores on each test part. If Veteran's credit is claimed, proof of status (DD214) must be submitted to the Classified Personnel Office at the same time the application form is submitted or prior to testing. The life of the eligibility list will be twelve (12) months. The resulting eligibility list will be used to fill current and future permanent and substitute vacancies.
Applicants who may need reasonable accommodation for interviewing or testing must notify the Personnel Department at ..., three (3) business days prior to the testing date.
Date of Examination
Candidates who are among the most qualified shall be notified via email or telephone of the time, date and place of the examination(s).
