Grove Bay Concessions inside TF Green Airport is seeking a skilled and experienced prep cook to join our team!*
The ideal candidate should have a passion for cooking, be detail-oriented, and possess excellent knife skills. As a prep cook, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients, such as vegetables and meats, as well as assembling dishes according to our restaurant's recipes and specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and portion ingredients according to recipes and specifications
- Use knives, kitchen equipment, and tools safely and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including food storage areas, equipment, and utensils
- Follow all food safety and sanitation regulations
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of ingredients and supplies
- Communicate with the kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service
- Assist with other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a prep cook in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, methods, and equipment
- Excellent knife skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation techniques
- Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
