General Maintenance Worker

Chipton-Ross is seeking 3 (three) General Maintenance Workers for a contract opportunity in Fort Liberty, NC. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): Previous custodial experience. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: The General Maintenance Worker performs general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings requiring practical skill and knowledge (but not proficiency) in such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work. Work involves a variety of the following duties: replacing electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors, using plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings, repairing or replacing sinks, water coolers, and toilets painting structures and equipment; repairing or replacing concrete floors, steps, and sidewalks, replacing damaged paneling and floor tiles, hanging doors and installing door locks, replacing broken window panes, and performing general maintenance on equipment and machinery.REQUIRED EDUCATION: Accredited High School Diploma or GED.WORK HOURS: 5/40ADDITIONAL: Candudate must hold an active secret clearance.This work assignment has been designated as "safety-sensitive" by the Client. Contractors assigned to safety-sensitive jobs at the Client site must first complete regulatory pre-placement requirements prior to reporting to assignment. Additionally, contractors assigned to safety-sensitive work will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with federal mandates.
