Key Responsibilities:
- Provide outstanding customer service to all residents, family members, responsible persons, and visitors of residents in the community
- Clean all rooms assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor
- Ensure all bathrooms are cleaned completely, including toilet bowl, sinks, bathtubs/showers; countertops, mirrors and sterilization of the floor.
- Ensure clean kitchen areas, including counters, under counters, mopping the kitchen floor
- Ensure all surfaces are dusted while at the same time caring for residents belongings
- Assist with housekeeping tasks as needed including vacuuming all exposed areas and washing inside of windows when necessary
- Clean all common areas, including but not limited to: halls, landings, stairs, activity areas, show kitchens, lobbies, elevators, offices and model apartments
- Clean vacant apartments as assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor
- Ensure cleanliness of public restrooms
- Properly use and maintain housekeeping and laundry carts at all times
- Wash and dry all laundry, including residents personal laundry using appropriate products and following resident instructions in cooperation with Laundry Attendant as may be applicable
- Follow emergency procedures when chemicals are accidently misused
- Understand the practices surrounding proper handling of biohazardous waste
- Maintain a clean laundry room and store chemicals in accordance with proper procedures
- Deliver clean linens to floors and residences as directed
- Assist in garbage removal and snow removal as directed
- Carry out other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience/Licensure/Certification:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Experience with and passion for working with seniors preferred
