We are seeking a Warehouse Custodian for our team to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. Did you get into our industry for these reasons? The Warehouse Custodian is responsible for maintaining daily cleanliness of the warehouse interior and exterior. Various areas shall include, low and high traffic floor areas, pallet racking aisles, picking areas, automation, conveyor, and charging areas. Daily cleaning of warehouse floors by sweeping, dusting, mopping, scrubbing, etc. Daily trash collection throughout the HCA Lakeland Regional Distribution Center and proper disposal. Also, provide production support through cardboard box break-down, cardboard disposal, shrink wrap disposal.

MajorResponsibilities:

• Daily general cleaning of the warehouse facility and grounds.
• Dust and sweep material storage isles, case pick module, charging stations and around conveyors.
• Use riding floor scrubber to scrub all material storage aisle, dock, walkway and high traffic floor surfaces.
• Empty all trash bins and transport trash & waste to proper disposal areas.
• Transfer cardboard from production and picking areas to proper disposal areas.
• Manage the overall facility appearance, including outdoor sidewalks, parking and lawn areas.
• Observation of all HCA Safety policies and OSHA rules and regulations.
• Wipe down eyewash stations and fire extinguishers.
• Notify Facilities Safety Coordinator of any facility repairs needed.
• Respond promptly to clean up wet floors.
• Maintain janitors closet.
• Follow procedures for the use of cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Practices and adheres to the Code of Conduct and Mission and Value Statement.
• Perform tasks independently and accurately in a timely manner.
• Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision, individually and as part of a team.
• Friendly and pleasant demeanor, courteous, self-motivated and professional.
• Ability to communicate and converse in English.
• Extensive walking or standing for extended periods of time.
• Flexible and available Monday through Friday.
• Work may be inside or outside in various building and weather conditions

Education and Experience Needed:

• High school diploma or equivalent Required
• Previous custodial / cleaning experience Preferred
• Material handling equipment experience Preferred
