Job Description
The Nevada Community School District is looking for our next Food Service General Worker to join our team at NCSD!
This position begins with the 2025-2026 school year with hours from 7am-2pm Monday through Friday. Training will be provided.
Responsibilities
Assist in cooking, preparing and the serving of daily meals from the planned menu
Assist with cleaning and following food safety procedures
Ability to assist in filling out proper production records and food safety logs
Maintain compliance with federal regulations regarding all School Lunch Programs
Interact with all personnel, students, building patrons, federal/state inspectors, vendors and delivery persons with a positive can do attitude.
Ability to operate all kitchen equipment
Must be able to lift 30 lbs and stand on your feet for long periods of time
Check in students at meal service on POS system
Prepare lunch account deposits
Perform other duties as assigned
Education / Experience
High school diploma / GED
Food service experience preferred
ServSafe Certification - Recommended, but District will provide paid training to obtain after 6 months of service.
